Ok, not the most exciting post, but it’s helpful for me. There’s nothing quite so satisfying as checking things off a list. Hell, sometimes I think I should make lists of routine, daily activities just so I can check stuff off to feel productive. Put in contacts? CHECK! Brushed hair? Sort of check… Put on clean clothing? Er… uh… no check.
- 100 pages of casebook reading next week for Education law. CHECK! AWWW YEA BOOOIIII!
- 250 pages of reading next week for Child Maltreatment. Also CHECK!
- Begin research on Child Maltreatment paper topic (rough draft is due within 3 weeks): childhood obesity I’ve pulled several articles, but I haven’t read any so far. But it’s a start, so I’m giving it a check!
- 4 chapters and 2 journal entries for Family Law & ADR next week. I don’t even know how many pages that is, and I don’t want to know. This has fallen by the wayside. The reading is pretty pointless and the prof practically reads from the text during lecture. So I won’t give myself a check yet, but I don’t feel too bad about it.
- Complete Advanced Legal Research assignment on legislative history research by 6pm this Saturday. (This assignment is the one that most makes me want to slit my wrists.) DONE! CHECK!!
- Prepare group presentation for Negotiation Workshop in one week. Sort of kind of done. I think I’m just going to toss some bullet points up on the blackboard and call it a day. Oh, and maybe show this video to the class (since my topic is “Listening”). So… quasi-check!
- Read 4 chapters for said workshop (again, I don’t even want to know how many pages that is). Not yet… but there’s always tomorrow.
- Write 10 page negotiation prep plan for mock divorce negotiation in said workshop. Hmmm… Haven’t started this yet either. But again, I’ve always got tomorrow! Chin up?
- Begin online e-mail negotiation with UC-Berkeley Law School student for said workshop. It has begun. That bitch is playing hardball, too. But I SHALL prevail.
- Prepare role-reversal project for presentation for said workshop, also due in one week. I haven’t even read the instructions. I’ll get to it…
So I guess overall, I’m still making progress. I have a 3 hour study break between classes tomorrow in which I plan to be sickeningly productive. We’ll see how that goes…. just gotta stay positive. Law school won’t kill me, right?

ORLY? Hmmm… I’m gonna have to check this out! Maybe it will help me remember basic hygiene functions.
